Below is the latest stable/unstable version/revision for GIS related packages. or MacOSX 10.4. Last updated: 7 May 2007.
Experimental means that the maintainer developed the newer package for experimental purpose. You need to download the .info file and place it manually in the appropriate directory.

Packaging Policies
These policies ensure that all the libraries and programs depend on the same version of the packages.
- Stable and unstable packages should depend on the latest stable packages if available. e.g. your packages should depend on postgresql82-8.2.4-1021, not postgresql82-8.2.5-1021.
- Packages may depend on the reasonally latest unstable packages if stable is not available. e.g. Your packages may also depend on postgis82-8.2.4-1021, not postgis82-8.2.5-1021 because postgresql81 is the prefered version.
