This page is obsolete. Use the current breakage report insead.

-force_flat_namespace
grep -lr "force_flat_namespace" 2006-03-09/*/logs
g++ -force_flat_namespace breaks under xcode2.3; gcc -force_flat_namespace still works. pogma says, "When we started prebinding things, we got some people with a badly prebound libintl. That caused dpkg to stop working, so there was no way for the user to get out of the mess -force_flat 'fixed' the issue"
- chemtool triaged to Andrew Rohl

- dpkg still needed? (I've been using dpkg without it. --msachs; RR reported trouble with bootstrapping)

triaged
- to pogma (maintainer) (email, 12/13)
- to RR (#fink, 12/16) (only builds for static libperl.a, which is apple's not fink's)
